Community

In striving for sustainability we aim to make our impact on our local community and workforce as positive as we can. Our staff turnover is far lower than the industry average, as we do all we can to offer decent wages, career progression and job security.

We are part of the science, technology, engineering and mathematics network (STEMNET) and help to inspire and motivate young people by running workshops at a local school. What's more we provide work experience opportunities to local students and take on at least 2 apprentices every year.

Where possible, we support the local labour initiative and economy by sourcing services from like-minded specialists in Essex and the outskirts of London. We also work with smaller local joinery businesses, helping them to gain FSC accreditation and using them as a source of ready planed and prepared timber.

We regularly sponsor our employees, clients, suppliers and partners as they take part in many local and national fund raising activities. And as a company, we also take part in charitable events such as entering a sailing team in the annual Little Britain Challenge Cup and supporting the local St John's hospice
